Afternoon Delight

Here is a great article on the batting glove Bill Buckner was wearing under his glove in Game Six of the 86 series. As you can see and note, the cubs had something to do with that play. It doesnt surprise me that the Cubs, who havent won a world series since 1908, had their logo be a part of baseball history.

  1. see this site to put this buckner batting glove in its proper context. you’ll notice above the buckner thing that in the 1984 playoffs leon durham let a ball roll in between his legs too. which shows the lack of imagination of the red sox that they can’t even lose without being derivative.
