Its was Jacque Jones and Rich Hill day today. and it was a beautiful day. Theriot had two hits, one came before Jones’ fifth homer of the season and that was ballgame, my friends. The Cards win streak abruptly ends. The Cubs win streak starts to roll. The vibe is good.
Also, Gabe Gross and apparently the rest of his team are deluded about the Brewers chances of making the playoffs. He said this after they lost yesterday (still thinking they might beat the Reds today, nope):
“… I personally don’t think there’s anybody in this locker room that doesn’t fully expect to be playing in October. I don’t think that attitude has changed at all.”
